Maria Focaraccio (1992) is a choreographer, dancer and assistant director based in Berlin.

As a performer she works with Imperfect Dancers Company (IT), Fattoria Vittadini (IT), C&C Company (IT), Igor x Moreno (IT), Tanztheater Erfurt (DE).

As choreographer she co-creates Storie Brevi - nulla di troppo intimo (2019) and Dia - Fantasie Ritmiche (2020) both with MariaGiulia Serantoni; Ghosts Are My Reality (2023) together with Katharina Scheidtmann and Theresa Maria Forthaus.
Since 2021 she collaborates with Emanuele Rosa, co-creating the works HOW TO _ just another Boléro, all you need is and amən , and co-founding the collective EM+.

In 2019 and 2022 she choreographs the musicals Rock of Ages and On Your Feet at Le Théâtre, Luzern (CH).

As an assistant director she works on Genannt Gospodin directed by Bettina Rehm at Vaganten Bühne (2024/2025); on The Last Conference directed by Krzysztof Minkowski (Heimathafen Neukölln); at Theater Heilbronn on Schlafen Fische?(2025/2026); and at Burgfestspiele Bad Vilbel (2026).

After graduating in Philosophy from the University of Pisa, she studied Tanzwissenschaft (Critical Dance Studies) at the Freie Universität Berlin (DE).
