Emanuele Rosa (1989) is an Italian dance artist based in Genoa, Italy. Co-founder of EM+, Emanuele’s independent works are presented at numerous festivals in Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, France, South Korea, Denmark, Finland and Germany. In 2023 he received the prize “Nuovo Autore” on the occasion of Foligno Danza Festival 2023. In the same year, he was selected in the frame of the project Crossing the Sea and invited to the section Visiting of the European project Big Pulse as part of the Festival Tanec Praha (CZ).

He started his career at a young age, dancing professionally for several international companies, among others: Junior Balletto di Toscana (IT), Imperfect Dancers Company (IT), Landestheater Linz (AT), Staatstheater Darmstadt (DE), Hessisches Staatsballett (DE), Skånes Dansteater (SE), CCN Rillieux-la-Pape/Yuval Pick (FR). In 2017 he started freelancing and worked for companies, such as: Arno Schuitemakers (NL), Compagnia Abbondanza/Bertoni (IT), Tanztheater Erfurt (DE), R14/JulienGrosvalet (FR) and C&C Company (IT). Emanuele worked with choreographers, such as: Cristal Pyte, Richard Siegal, Alexander Ekman, Itzik Galili, Arno Schuitemaker, Marco Goecke, Yuval Pick, Claude Brumachon, Marguerite Donlon, Ben Wright, Mei Hong Lin, Robert North, Emanuele Soavi, Cristina Rizzo, Ester Ambrosino and others.

As choreographer Emanuele creates: "all you need is" (2022) first prize awarded at Premio TWAIN_DirezioniAltre 2022 and selected at Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore 2022, "HOW TO _ just another Boléro" (2021) winner project of Call from the Aisle 2021 and selected at Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore 2021, "Meat Me" (2019) and "As if, I have missed myself" (2020), a Bora Bora Dans og visuelt teater co-production, with the choreographer Fabio Liberti, "Ribelle" (2019) and "Il Piccolo Principe" (2020) for Agora Coaching Project (Italy) with Carlo Massari. As associate artist of C&C Company, Emanuele collaborates on the choreographic creations of "RIGHT" (2021), "Incipit" (2021) and the Opera Carmen (2022) at Teatro Regio di Parma, directed by Carlo Massari. Among his earliest works: "Hell Sweet Hell" (2018), finalist at Premio Equilibrio Roma 2018, "I Killed Adam in eight counts" (2017), winner of the second prize at the Contemporary Choreographic Contest Principi Attivi, guest at SOLOCOREOGRAFICO, dance Showcase and Award 2017 and selected for the Festival Sumar, Cordoba (Argentina), "Sin Ofensa" (2016) and "Eutanasia di Ruoli" (2015) both created for Läd Naid Sürpries Darmstadt (Germany).

Emanuele gives professional classes and workshops in Italy and Europe, among others: CCNR/Yuval Pick (FR), Black Box Dance Company (DK), Opus Ballet (IT), Art Factory International (IT), Anfibia (IT), Agora Coaching Project (IT), Alpidanza (IT) and the International Festival IFMC Vitebsk (BL) where is also invited as a member of the jury in the XXXII edition of the competition (November 2019).
